"Know the Truth and the Truth shall make you Free"   Be it known unto all Nations, Kindred, Tongues, and People, unto whom this message shall come: That We the People of the Utah Assembly, hereby dedicate this standard to our God, The Eternal Father; and we plead unto Him, The Lawgiver to all, to accept of our dedication, to preserve our freedom, religion, and peace, and our Family units, as we do seek, under the inspiration of the Almighty, to preserve the original Constitution for the United States of America as a bastion of freedom and a beacon of truth to all men the world over.     The substance of liberty necessary to fill the proper forms of government is the Truth: the person of Jesus Christ-the only person rightfully at once, the medium and the message. Christ conditions the experience of liberty upon abiding in His Word, "If you abide in my word, then you are truly my disciples [(mathaytays): a learner who follows the teaching and the teacher]; consequently, you shall know [(giknowsko): knowledge got from someone through intimate experience with that person] the Truth, and the Truth shall free you." John 8:31-32. Christ, being the Truth, is the Great Liberator. Wishing, hoping, longing, planning, and scheming to be free will never free any person from the greatest enslavement: bondage to sin. Only by gaining experiential knowledge of Christ-only possible through God's Word will God liberate men and women. Without a critical mass of men and women holding the substance of truth and infusing it into the forms of the common-law first principles, these truths will become as burdensome as the dead weight of a lifeless body.         Born in the heart of every human being is the "love of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".  There is no race of people that would not cherish and safeguard these inherent rights, if it were within their power.  We as mortals perhaps cannot be blamed too much by mortals for our inability to uphold and live the laws of God and our God-Given and Unalienable Rights in the face of all the arrayed hosts of hell with the combined powers of the government and men.  However, if we are not valiant enough to maintain our God-Given and Unalienable Rights in the face of such opposition, we might find reason for succumbing to superior forces and thus losing our blessings, or becoming enslaved. However, in thus yielding we still forfeit our blessings, or are still slaves, and the Light and the blessings of a God-given freedom cannot be obtained except by the OVERTHROWING of the forces of evil, and RESISTING THEM TO THE DEATH; either in the maintaining or the re-securing of our unalienable rights.   Always, one must be obedient to the law upon which the blessing is predicated, no matter what the odds, or the sacrifice, or the strength of the foe. It is as much our duty to defend our own rights as the rights of others and HE WHO WILL NOT SUSTAIN HIS GOD-GIVEN AND UNALIENABLE RIGHTS AGAINST ALL ODDS, MUST OF COURSE, FOREVER LOSE THEM, and cannot anticipate the blessings of God or the rights and privileges secured for him in a land made free by the shedding of the blood of patriots.
